When I looked at your account the requests were coming form 174.132.171.162 which resolves to br14.hostgator.com.br

I added that you your allowed referrers list and it is working now, but Brandon and I will have to discuss this further. Ultimately as a free user you will be required to use the javascript method in the near future and that will resolve the issue as it will only recognize the domain name, and not the IP address.

But I don't think we should white list entire hosting providers because I think that will ultimately defeat the purpose of this initiative.

g0dxilla was referring to another upcoming change announced recently: Preview Verification

That is a javascript code change that will become required of non-PRO users in the near future and it will no longer work with the "advanced method" API (i.e. no caching locally, etc). It has always been our push for developers to cache locally to conserve our bandwidth but we have seen the need to adapt our service to account for huge increases in low-to-medium traffic sites that are draining the system for everyone but not giving anything back.

However, the push for the preview verification is also NOT intended to make people upgrade, so to avoid free users hitting their limits; we will soon be announcing a doubling of the default fetch allowance from 250,000 to 500,000. Based on years of statistical analysis, this should accommodate all free user's needs and still keep them from having to upgrade, despite losing the ability to cache locally, etc.

Once all of these changes are in place, we will be in a fantastic position to start offering more back to those that help us in return (even the free users).

If you are using a plugin on script that provides caching you have to add your server's IP address.

Hello,

i have the same issue where the previews work but not the page information http://nationalindex.co.uk/free-business-link-/detail/40-npcs---data,-fibre-&-voice-cabling---horsham-west-sussex.html

This only became an issue with the listings that we added yesterday all the rest seem OK although we haven't added anymore just yet.

Would someone mind just checking that all is well with my account? i have added the domain name and the IP but nothing is happening.

Your issue was a little different.

When I checked your logs the IP address that showed up as making your requests resolved to elcamino.websitewelcome.com which I am assuming is your provider. I have added that for now and your pagepix are showing up again, however please note that in the near future the API requests you are making now to cache the images locally will not be provided to free users and only DNS entrys will be accepted in the Allowed Referrers. The new Javascript Preview Verification method will be required for free users.

However, if you need to continue to use your current request method, any PRO Feature as well as the new PLUS Upgrade will allow you to do that.
