To handle increasing load on the service and prepare for further growth, we have been working diligently for the past several months on building out a clustered, server farm solution. It took longer than expected because our server consultants kept disappearing but we finally got things to a point where testing suggests we can safely migrate the service.
So, on Monday, October 19th at 9:30am ET, we will begin the migration. There will be about 30 minutes of unavoidable downtime as we migrate the database.
We will test everything once again, after the system is migrated. Then, we will monitor throughput, performance, and watch for errors for the rest of the day.
