Downtime Notice: Possible bad ram in primary delivery server

Hello,

We will be taking the service offline this Saturday, December 20th at 11:00pm EST. This maintenance window could last between 2-4 hours. The service and our site will be completely offline during this maintenance window.

After all of the recent downtime and testing, once we put the servers back online; the primary delivery server began exhibiting symptoms of possible bad ram. Occasionally, CRON is throwing "Segmentation Fault (core dumped)" error messages and alerting us. It could also be related to APC or other web server related modules, but we aren't taking any chances in light of the recent outage. Thank you.

We have disabled the new monitoring plugin and found that the segmentation faults have not occurred since. It may be responsible for those crashes, so we are going to leave it disabled and monitor for the next 24 hours. As a result, we are cancelling this downtime for RAM testing. If we have new segmentation faults, even with the plugin disabled, then we will reschedule the RAM testing for after the holidays.
