Here are a few examples of what is possible using ShrinkTheWeb's PRO Features:

1. Specific Page Capture ("Inside or Inner Pages")

As you can see from the first screenshot / snapshot example, this is an "inside" page as opposed to just the homepage or subdomain. This is also required in order to support affiliate links in many cases. Showing thumbnails next to affiliate links can drastically improve visitor comfort level and boost conversions. We have run several case studies on our own affiliate sites and have seen great improvement. Those case studies need to be polished and will then be published here as well.

2. Custom Sized Thumbnails

This option allows you to request a thumbnail at any specific size between 50 pixels and 1024 pixels. This is nice when you need a specific size and do not want the poor quality that occurs when you stretch a smaller thumbnail to fit. Below is a comparison of a 320x240 default size that has been stretched to 640x480 versus a 640x480 custom size just below it. The difference is undeniable:

Example of a 320x240 thumbnail stretched to fit. Ugly.

Here is a custom sized thumbnail generated at the 640x480 size. What a beautiful image!

Please note, however, that we do not archive custom-sized thumbnails for more than 24 hours. So, you will need to cache these files locally, if you require immediate response for them. Please contact us, if you would like a quote on having a custom size thumbnail instantly available.

3. Full-length Web Page Thumbnails

This option allows you to request a thumbnail that will capture a web page for its entire length -as opposed to just the visible portion. You can even 'crop' a full-length thumbnail to a specific height --allowing you to keep the height reasonable for a specific layout or design. You can also specify the scale of the capture from 5% up to 100% of the original (at 1024x768)!

For instance, the example above is 10% (or 102 pixels wide) of the original but you could specify between 1% and 100% scale on these. However, we will not cache anything larger than 25% for more than 24 hours. You will need to use the advanced method to cache these locally or contact us for rates on having a large amount of storage available to cache a specific scale for instant availiability.

4. Refresh On-demand

This option allows you to request a refresh of a thumbnail as needed. This is nice for those who want to refresh a thumbnail daily for sites that change often or for web designers who want to show 'Previous' versus 'Current' for designs they are developing.

Another creative use for these thumbnails would be to capture and cache locally a version of a thumbnail at regular intervals over a period of time. That way, you could show a website design history -similar to archive.com- without having to actually download and store the entire website and images.

5. Custom Delay

This feature is useful for those who request a lot of websites that are slow-loading. Now, you can specify a custom 'wait' time between 5 seconds to 45 seconds.

6. Custom System Error Messages

Would you like the convenience of using 'Simple Method' to display thumbnails BUT want the flexibility of
showing your own custom system messages (i.e. Thumbnail Queued, etc)??

Here are the following images you can replace (in all sizes):

This feature is useful for those webmasters who want the professional, private-labeled appearance of having everything look like you created your own website thumbnails. With this upgrade, you can show your own custom thumbnails in place of ours.
